Прочитайте та перекладіть діалоги українською мовою

Secretary: Good morning. President’s office. How can I help you?

Vladimir: Hello. I’d like to speak to George W., please.

Secretary: May I ask who’s calling?

Vladimir: It’s Vladimir.

Secretary: Could you tell me what it’s about?

Vladimir: No, I’d like to speak to him personally.

Secretary: Just hold on, please… I’m sorry. He’s busy at the moment. Would you like to speak to somebody else?

Vladimir: No, I have to speak to George W.

Secretary: O.K. Can I take a message or shall I ask him to call you back?

Vladimir: Could you tell him I called and I’d be grateful if he’d call me back. I’ll be in my office all morning.

Secretary: Does he have your number?

Vladimir: Yes, but just in case, I’ll give it to you. It’s (001) 202-123-4567.

Secretary: So, that’s (001) 202-123-4567.

Vladimir: That’s right.

Secretary: O.K., I’ll give him your message. Goodbye.

Vladimir: Thank you. Goodbye.

-Could I have the accounts department, please?

-Who’s speaking, please?

-This is Bob Jones from Prime Plastics Ltd.

-Certainly, hold the line, please.

-Thank you.

-I’m sorry, the line is engaged. Would you like to hold?

-Yes please.

-I’m sorry to keep you waiting, the line’s still busy.

-Never mind. I’ll call back later. Who should I ask for?

-Mr. Seamus Henley.

-Thank you.

-You’re welcome.

Складіть діалоги англійською мовою для таких ситуацій:

1 варіант: Ви дзвоните секретарю в офіс (придумайте назву компанії), щоб домовитись про зустріч з головним менеджером, надайте інформацію про себе, причину зустрічі, уточніть час та місце зустрічі;

2 варіант: Ви дзвоните секретарю в офіс (назву компанії придумайте), але той, хто Вам потрібен не може з Вами розмовляти в даний момент. Залиште секретарю інформацію про себе та попросіть, щоб вам передзвонив той,  хто Вам потрібен.

What would you like to have? Tea? Coffee?

Tea, please. It’s chilly today.

Did you have a nice trip? How are you?

I’m quite well, thank you. I enjoyed the trip.

We’re staying at (hotel). We’re very comfortable there.

Yes, it’s one of our best hotels. And it’s quite close to our office, you can even walk here.

Quite right. Walking is useful, and it’s nice to see the city.

How do you like St. Petersburg? Have you seen much of our city?

St. Petersburg is a wonderful city, but we’ve been very busy and haven’t seen much of it yet.

I think you’ll have an opportunity to go round. How long are you here for?

A week or so. It will depend on the progress of the talks.

How do you like the climate here?

I think it’s too cold. It’s much warmer in our country now.

Bur it’s a lovely day and they promise sunshine for the rest of the week.

Yes, we’ve heard the weather forecast. But it looks like rain.

Мета: надати учням практичні навички перекладу та застосування фраз привітання та прощання

Обладнання: комп’ютер, колонки, словники, картки з завданнями.

Порядок виконання робіт:

Завдання №1

  1. Прослухайте діалог англійською мовою;

  2. Письмово запишіть переклад  діалогу українською мовою

Завдання №2

  1. Прочитати діалог англійською мовою;

  2. Письмово перекласти діалог українською мовою.
